Beer Butt Chicken

1 nice roasting chicken (with pop out timer)
extra virgin olive oil
baking pan
turkey baster
lots of Big Fat Jerry’s Gourmet Seasoning
3/4 can of beer

This recipe can be done in the oven or on a grill.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Take chicken, rinse it off and pat dry with paper
towels. Next, rub chicken down with the olive oil. Then shake Big Fat Jerry's Gourmet Seasoning all over the bird - season well. Take the beer can and set it in
the center of your baking pan. Fill the baking pan with 1 inch of water and set
chicken down on the can so the bird is standing on it’s butt and legs.
Seal the neck opening with toothpicks. (This keeps the moisture from the beer
and water inside.)
Place chicken in preheated oven, basting 3 or 4 times while cooking. Cook
until done & watch your water.

To cook on the grill, follow the same recipe and cook on low to medium low until
done. If you like that smoked flavor, add some soaked Hickory chips on your
grill. Enjoy!
